Pumpkin seed oil production line
Pumpkin seeds are also called pumpkin seeds, white melon seeds, pumpkin seeds and so on. Pumpkin seeds are rich in nutrients, containing about 50% fat and 30%-40% protein. After defatting, the protein content of pumpkin seeds can reach more than 60%, and the protein is rich in amino acid composition. It is a good source of plant protein.

Pumpkin seeds contain rich nutrients and are a relatively healthy edible oil. The process of preparing pumpkin seed oil by oil equipment mainly includes pressing method, solvent extraction method, ultrasonic method, supercritical fluid extraction method and water enzymatic method.
1. Squeezing method
The pressing method uses external forces to squeeze out the oil inside the pumpkin seeds, generally hot pressing is used. Steam and fry pumpkin seed oil until it is 80% ripe to control the moisture content, and then squeeze it. Afterwards, a series of refining processes such as degumming, deodorization, deacidification, and decolorization of the oil equipment produce refined oil. This method can preserve the fragrance of pumpkin seed oil itself.
2. Solvent method
The grease equipment uses solvent extraction to prepare pumpkin seed oil. The process is to first mix the oil or pre-pressed cake with the solvent, and then separate it by distillation. After the solvent has been cooled, it can be recycled for leaching and recycling of grease equipment. From the protection of the environment and the extraction conditions, the solvent is generally n-pentane.
3. Supercritical fluid extraction
The principle of supercritical fluid extraction process is to use the properties of supercritical fluid to contact the substance to be separated and then extract. The pumpkin seed oil obtained by supercritical fluid extraction is cool in color and relatively pure in aroma, and the quality of the finished oil is similar to the oil refined by the oil equipment.
4. Ultrasonic method
Ultrasonic method is the use of a series of small-scale oil extraction, which can reduce solvent consumption, shorten production time, and improve the quality of refined oil.
5. Water enzymatic method
The process of water enzymatic method is to crush the fat, then add enzymes for enzymatic hydrolysis, and separate the fat from the glaze. At present, the research on the production of pumpkin seed oil by aqua-enzymatic method is still in the preliminary stage. With the development of biotechnology, it will be more and more widely used in the future.
