The raw material for the production of rapeseed oil is generally rapeseed, with an oil content of 30%-48%. There are two main ways to prepare rapeseed oil, one is the pre-extraction method, and the other is the pressing method. From the perspective of return on investment, production projects with an output of more than 30 tons/day are suitable for the pre-expression leaching method. If the output is 1-10 tons/day, the cost of oil production by the pretreatment pressing method will be lower. The equipment used in the two production methods is also different.
Production process description:
Squeezing process: Rapeseed-cleaning-softening-piercing embryo-steaming and frying-pressing-crude oil
Extraction process: rapeseed-cleaning-softening-rolling-steaming-pre-pressing-leaching-one steaming-two steaming-steam stripping-crude oil
Crude oil refining: Crude oil-degumming-deacidification-decolorization-vacuum deodorization-edible oil
Before pre-pressing, we need to pre-treat the oil, clean up the impurities in the oil, and adjust the temperature, humidity and moisture of the rapeseed to make it reach the good state before pressing. Rapeseed pretreatment equipment includes magnetic separator, vibrating screen, stone removing machine, embryo rolling machine, steaming pan and other equipment. After pretreatment, we use a pre-press and a press to press twice to produce rapeseed oil. If you want to obtain high-quality canola oil, you need to continue to refine canola oil.
The pre-expression extraction method also requires pre-treatment and pre-expression of rapeseed, which is the same as the pre-expression method. After pre-pressing, we obtain crude oil and cakes. The oil content in the cake is about 7%, which can be extracted by leaching. Leaching is a process in which the oil in the cake is extracted by using a solvent that is compatible with the oil by using the principle of extraction. Under normal circumstances, the residual oil rate of the cake after leaching is less than 1%.
Both the rapeseed oil obtained by pre-pressing or the rapeseed oil obtained by leaching contains trace impurities. In order to obtain high-standard edible oil and make the storage time of the edible oil longer, we need to refine the crude oil.
Rapeseed oil refining usually refers to the removal of harmful impurities and odorous substances from crude oil through degumming, deacidification, decolorization, and deodorization to obtain edible oil that meets the standards. There are three common refining equipment: batch refining equipment, semi-continuous refining equipment and full continuous refining equipment. Depending on the output, the budget, and the requirements for refined oil, the choice of refining equipment is naturally different.

Filter
Camellia seed screening generally includes three aspects: ①Separate cold dew seeds and frost seeds according to the season; ②Separate safflower seeds and white flowers seeds according to flower color; ③Separate large tea seeds and small tea seeds according to body shape.
drying
Camellia seeds have too high moisture content, the seed shell is weak and not easy to break, plasticity is large, and it is easy to squeeze. In order to facilitate peeling and rolling, the camellia seeds with too high water content should be dried to make the camellia seeds reach the moisture (below 9%) that is good for peeling. Tea seed drying is very important in oil extraction processing. The quality of tea seed drying has a direct impact on the oil yield.
shell
The peeling of tea seeds and the peeling of broken tea seeds can be carried out by using a centrifugal peeling and sieving machine. After crushing, an oil crusher is used to make the particle size smaller to facilitate the subsequent rolling process. The peeling equipment should be determined according to the varieties of camellia seeds. There are mainly two types: centrifugal impact type and hammer type. At present, the hammer type peeling machine is widely used.
shell and kernel separation
Kernel shell separation Kernel shell separation is to separate the kernel from the shell by winnowing. The level of kernels in the shell is closely related to the peeling equipment. In order to balance the resistance and plasticity of the material in the press chamber, the shell content in the kernel should be controlled between 12% and 15%.

Blank rolling is the process of rolling the granular material into flakes and blanks by using a pair of rollers or a multi-roll roller blanking machine. The specific requirements for oil-rolled embryos are that the rolled sheet is thin and uniform, less powdery, no oil exposed, and the sheet is loose in the hand and loosened.
steamed and fried
The steaming and frying process of oil. Variations and functions of the steaming and frying process. One is that the grease can be made more fully; the second is that it can reduce the power consumption of the oil; the third is that it is convenient to make better quality grease. The steaming and frying of oil can be carried out in a multi-layer steaming and frying pan. The temperature at the outlet of the lower frying pan is controlled to be pre-squeezed at 100°C, the one-time pressing temperature is about 120°C, and the moisture content is 2.5-4.0%.
squeeze
The temperature of the steamed and fried materials should not be lower than 80℃, and the moisture content should be controlled at about 3%. If the temperature is too high, the plasticity will increase; if the temperature is too low, the resistance will increase.

degumming
The colloid of tea oil mainly refers to the mixture of phospholipids, protein gels and other impurities. Phospholipids can affect deodorization and decolorization during steam distillation, and can also chelate with metal ions, increase the oxidation process, and affect the Stability, in order to obtain the tea oil product that meets the requirements, the degumming process is necessary.
deacidification
The principle of deacidification process is sufficient to neutralize the free fatty acids in the oil with NaOH or KOH to remove the free fatty acids in the oil. In actual operation, a certain amount of excess alkali needs to be added, generally 0.05~0.25%, so that the alkali refining is as complete as possible. The alkali refining temperature is about 70℃.
bleaching
The process of adding adsorbents such as acidic soil and activated carbon to the oil to adsorb chlorophyll pigments is called decolorization. The decolorization temperature is controlled at about 90°C, the added amount of soil is 5 to 7% of the oil weight, the decolorization time is controlled at 20 minutes, the vacuum (residual pressure) is 97 to 99kPa, and the filter is cooled to 70°C to obtain decolorized oil.
deodorization
Tea oil deodorization uses the large difference in volatility between the odorous substances and triglycerides in the tea oil and removes them under high vacuum and high temperature. Generally, steam distillation is used for deodorization. The vacuum degree is about 0.1MPa, the distillation temperature is above 200℃, and the distillation time is about 1h.
dewaxing (fat)
Winterization of crystallization, crystal growth, filtration, dewaxing (fat), camellia seed oil
Using the method of centrifugal separation after freezing at -5°C for 48h to separate waxes, saturated fatty acids, etc. from unsaturated fatty acids such as oleic acid and linoleic acid, and ultimately increase the oleic acid content by 5%-12%.
